This game caught my eye while scrolling across the new BGP polls.

6A Ballard has had a historic year already defeating state powers Male and Trinity.  Scott County has had an answer for everyone not named Frederick Douglass.

Scott County's strength is old school wing T, which they run better than anyone in the state.  Ballards strength is defense.  Something's gotta give.

I forget who it was said in another thread thread that Scott County has a good shot to get to the 5A semi-finals!  That's really big!

I was impressed with Scott County during their scrimmage with BG, specially their offensive line.

Will Ballard get the win or does Scott County make a statement?  Going to be a good game here!

I think this will be low scoring game that will come down to turnovers or special teams. The most points Ballard's defense has given up this season is 14 to Manual. I'll take Ballard in a close one.

So are we thinking that Frederick Douglass is considerably better than Ballard?  Even though Ballard has defeated Trinity and Male?  FD beat up on Scott County pretty good.  I would think Ballard by at least a few scores.

I don't think Douglass is considerably better but I think style will play a role in this game. Douglass seemed more likely to pounce and blow out a team than does Ballard. I'm also skeptical about Scott County's mindset versus Douglass; their coach all but said they aren't capable of beating Douglass right now. Right or wrong, I doubt that mindset exists with their team versus Ballard.

I think Ballard and Frederick Douglass are about same defensively but Douglass probably better on offense.

I think Douglass would beat Ballard in a close game, they have more firepower.

It wasn't me but I love it!

This one is scoreless at the end of the 1Q.

The broadcast has it Ballard up 6 to 0 now, I don't know if that is correct.

That's correct. Ballard sacked the SC quarterback, he fumbled and Ballard returned it for a touchdown.
