I love ratings/rankings no matter what sport or level of play. 

No one should strive to be #6 in anything. I know Ryle strives to be #1, but the Raiders have a long way to go. They could care less about anything other than earning #1 in December. Winning a 6A title has proved to be a monumental task for any 6A schools outside of the Ville.

All computer ratings use scores and margin of victory/loss is good metric. Calpreps ratings are pretty good and don't watch every team in the country every week.

You say Ryle has two wins against bad teams. So does that mean Simon Kenton only has one good win on the year? Since by your criteria, Highlands shouldn’t count as a good win for SK then.

If I was publishing rankings, I’d leave SK off every week just to watch you lose your mind here. Whatever method is being used has to be better than my non-scientific approach of creating entertainment value over providing valuable information.
