Kentucky 77 Vanderbilt 71 (SEC Quarterfinals)

I know TyTy was the star with all his corner threes, but man how big was Toppin tonight!

He used to scare me when he shot jumpers but man it looks so pretty lately and especially tonight.

Pippen's legs are probably pretty shot but I felt like Kentucky did a great job defending him, especially when he was penetrating. Not so much on the D on Wright though haha!

Wheeler shoots so much better when he isnt off balance, which I know the mentioned tonight. How did he find Tyty on the pass under the basket. He had a petty solid game. Was it 11 assists?

I was hoping for something a little more dominating.  TyTy and Toppin played really well, particularly down the stretch.  Very little from Grady and Brooks.

That was a nifty look.

Tshiebwe hasn't been outrebounded by an opposing player in any game this season.

Mintz played very well also.

This game shows that TyTy is the key to a deep tournament run.

This will sound corny but I'm glad that Mintz stuck around after last year and got to experience BBN at its finest last night.

Wheeler said in a post game interview that just thinking about the crowd going wild the way they were, gave him chills.

Was the Toppin block last night the nastiest we've seen by a UK guy since Prince's block on Reggie Miller?

Is it him or lack of good inside TOUGH guys? Really enjoy watching him play. SEC seems really perimeter oriented to me.

There was no lack of tough players on the court for Vandy last night. That is how I would define their team - tough and very physical. They are on the borderline of being overly physical on every possession.

Scotty Jr likes to use his left arm to shove off and clear space on drives and usually isn’t called for it. It didn’t help him as much last night though as it did the first two meetings. But jeez did Jordan Wright go all Steph Curry throughout the game!! Seems like Vandy always has one or two players rise up and have “their big game” when UK is the opponent.

I’m still on the opposite side of that. I want UK to have experiences like last night before the tournament. When a team keeps coming at them, also the other opposing team having a guy just go off and can’t miss like last night. Yet knowing how to battle through all that in a tournament setting, and making plays of their own and not getting rattled. That kind of stuff can happen in the big tournament, and I was happy seeing how UK responded. I like having them get experiences like that.
