I just heard the news that long time Grant County coach CR Wenderoth has passed. He also spent time at Scott high school. He took both the Braves and the Eagles to state tournaments. Not only was he a fine coach  but a great human being. Please keep his family in your prayers.

Remember him from his Scott days, RIP Coach. My condolences to his family.

Also Ludlow way back in the 60s. 

He actually went from Ludlow to Grant County to Scott and back to Grant County.

Coach Carl Wenderoth was an outstanding human being, with a quick wit and sense of humor.

If you had your coffee cup hanging in Coach Wenderoth's office, you knew you were part of his "in-crowd."

Most true quote:  To win a big tournament it takes a good draw, a good call, and a good bounce of the ball."  That has stuck with me throughout my career.  

Will miss my old friend. Fine coach..... outstanding person.

Dang it.  Absolutely hate to hear this.  Was the first coach I met when I started doing high school games in NKy.  An absolute gem.  The stories he could tell.

Just seen Coach’s wife passed away today as well.  Prayers for the family, friends, and all those Coach Wenderoth lives he touch growing up!!!  

For any that are interested...funeral services for Coach and his wife will take place tomorrow (Friday) at 3 at the Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown.  Visitation will be tomorrow from 11 to 3 at the funeral home.
