    I just looked into things, and as far as I can tell, Jeff was at Latin School for his entire high school career. He was the top player on Latin School's basketball team in '70, '71, and was honorable

    He is a journalist.    However, Brendan Stowers is the new girls' basketball coach at Simon Kenton, which is what most thought would be the case as he had been shadowing his dad.

    I actually knew it several days before I posted it but felt is was not my story to tell.  I had conversations with Jeff and Brendan and both confirmed the hiring. Jeff plans to continue to  be involved in the program in some capacity but not as a coach.

     

     

    Stowers was a great example of a quality coach in girls basketball.  Besides Nell Fookes who else has been a more steadfast and strong influence in NKY girls basketball?

    Other than Conner and then Ludlow where has Stamm coached girls?  I don’t know his history.  Conner girls had a couple decent years but nothing great.  Did they ever make the state tourney even?  
     

    maybe Kes Murphy?  State championship and now building a second championship program.

    Kes is awesome, the top of the mountain right now,  and you can't even put Stamm in the same conversation, to be honest.  Aaron is solid, for sure, but Kes is in a different league.
