I thought the same thing!  That was a good game last year.  Should it be a good one this year too?

It was a really good game.  If you like offense !!

Bullitt East staff did a super job implementing QB drill work over the past week. Tremendous improvement since last Monday. Staff & players are locked in. Watch out for Coach Keegan Kendrick  & the Chargers!  #QuarterbackCamp

I think Bullitt East can close the gap some with Male this year, but a tall ask to go from a 56-8 loss to a win over the bulldogs. I look forward to seeing how Bullitt East does this year.

The last two Mondays I've been up there with them, working with the QB's.  I like their kids and staff. They listen and they don't mind working. The HS is booming. Sounds like their numbers on the football team will be through the roof.

Their administration is committed to football... weightclass, excellent weightroom, coaching staff, youth football, etc. I am biased, but Jesse Bacon and Chris Mason (former Bullitt East Principal) are big factors  in the success the program will enjoy in the seasons ahead.

Bright future for the Chargers!

Compete....give em a scare.  I've never been a big moral victory guy but they NEED to close the gap.  They need to walk onto that field thinking they can win.  Through the years I've watched so many teams beaten before they get off the bus.  BE cannot be that team against Male anymore !!

There's a lot to be excited about with this year's Chargers. Loads of offensive firepower back from a team that only lost seven seniors. As has been stated, Male presents a very high hurdle. The secret to clearing that hurdle or at least pushing Male like never before, could lie on the defensive side of the ball. The Dawgs went for 50+ in both games last year. That number needs to come way down.

Scrimmages against Ballard & South Warren this year will tell us a lot about where the Chargers stand.  I personally believe they improve upon the 8 win season last year and break into the top 6 or 7 teams in class 6A, but we will see.  I also agree with many that the offense will continue to put up points, but the defense will ultimately determine how well the Chargers do.  Then again, that seems to be the case with most programs.  I do expect the game vs. Male to be a lot closer this year.  I know Male is Male, but they lost quite a bit to graduation, plus lost a few big players to transfers

I agree. Who did Male lose due to transfers? I haven't  heard about transfers.

Jeremiah Collins & William Spencer.  Both transferred out of state.  Collins to TN & Spencer to New Albany

Wow! That's big loss. Spencer was rated top recruit in Kentucky.

And Collins was #3, according to 247. Male always has talent, but there's really no replacing those two with players of comparable ability.
