8:30 AM -- Owen County vs Carlisle County

10:00 AM -- Jackson County vs Cumberland County

11:30 AM -- Paris vs Covington Holy Cross

1:00 PM -- Campbellsville vs Lyon County

 

5:00 PM -- Berea vs Owensboro Catholic

6:30 PM -- Whitefield Academy vs Louisville Holy Cross

8:00 PM -- Knott County Central vs West Carter

9:30 PM -- Pikeville vs Danville Christian

 

Good luck to all of the teams that have earned their way to EKU -- what an amazing accomplishment.  Should be a terrific week of hoops at McBrayer Arena.

Feels to me that Paris, Holy Cross, and Campbellsville all have a decent shot of coming out of the top half.  On the bottom, it feels like Owensboro Catholic is much the best.

Good luck to the 14th region representative Knott County Central. Coach Jeff Honeycutt is one of the best coaches in Kentucky in my opinion. This Lady Patriot team’s main weakness is lack of height, basically start an all guard lineup. But his girls are well coached and fundamentally sound.

Game Thread Posting Policy

BGP encourages all members to post new threads to discuss upcoming games and to discuss the outcome of any games. In order to maintain a clear and concise appearance in the forums and to make the site as easily navigable and searchable as possible, members posting game threads are required to title their threads using the following formatting:

Scrimmage Games:
TeamA 21 TeamB 14 (Scrimmage)
TeamA/TeamB (Scrimmage)

Prediction/Update Threads should follow one of these examples:
TeamA vs. TeamB Predictions/Updates
TeamA at Team B Predictions/Updates

Final Score Threads MUST follow this format:
TeamA 14 TeamB 7

For games involving out of state teams:
TeamA 38 TeamB (OH) 30

Freshman and JV games MUST use the following format:

I got Pikeville winning it all. Thornsberry getting eligible takes them to another level. Her and Rowe both have D1 offers.

Noon:  Owen County vs Holy Cross (Covington)

1:30:  Owensboro Catholic vs Pikeville

Good luck to all four teams, and please know that what you've accomplished already, winning your region and two games at EKU, is a huge accomplishment.

The margin they're winning by is impressive, 21+ ppg overall. They're a consensus Top 20 (5th to 17th) in the half dozen rankings I've seen, as is tomorrow's opponent O Cath.

Best win to date maybe is over Haines City, FL (by 20) in the Queen of Palms Tourney championship game. 

Excellent coaching and the recent addition of Thornsbury make them a tough out. They're young too; look to see them make it to the All A and Sweet 16 multiple times over the next few years.
