Thats how I see it. About the same as this year. 7,8 maybe 9 wins next year. It takes time for programs to turn around, Kentucky's program is heading in the right direction. While I would love to see the cats beat LSU,Arakansas,Florida and Louisville, I dont see it happening. I do see them getting one over on the Vols next year however. Its crazy to think that one 8 win season and a bowl win makes us anywhere close to beating LSU or Florida. If we do win 9 games, I think one of the other wins will come against Louisville or Arkansas.

First of all the final score of the Clemson game wasn't indicative of how much UK out played Clemson.

 

If UK beats LSU next year then it would be a major upset. With that being said next year is a new year and I don't think LSU was 49 points better this year. The snowball effect happened that night. I do think LSU is the best team in the SEC this year.

Kentucky will finish the season with 8 or 9 wins. I am a huge SEC supporter, and despite how strong the confrence is I honestly believe that Kentucky is now a contender. I am being optimistic, but I honestly believe that we have turned the corner. In just one season you may ask, Yes, I think thats all it takes. Kentucky WILL play with Louisville, Arkansas, South Carolina, LSU, Florida, Georgia and Tennessee. Kentucky's win over the Bull dogs have hopefully shown these players that they are capable of beating anyone, no mater how strong the SEC is. Theres no reason Kentucky cant be at the top. We were very young this season and played GREAT football at times. 2 touchdowns from being 9-3 in the Regular season and 2nd in the SEC East. Kentucky WILL win against Florida or LSU. Kentucky will beat South Carolia. Kentucky will beat Tennessee. I think the players along with myself are tired of being the doormat. Lets leave that to Vandy. I bet the Cardinals remember their last trip to Commonwealth, and now they are coming in with a much better, more confidant and experienced Kentucky Football Team.

Actually someones just believing, thats what true fans do. My Dad taught me theres one true color and thats Kentucky Blue. Ill never change and Im proud to say Im a Wildcat. And I see cahnge in this program. I dont count my chickens before the eggs hatch, Im just calling em how I see them.

No, but I'm not stupid either. It was 28-6 with 7:50 left. UK dominated that game, plain and simple. If UK and LSU played today it would be much closer than 49-0. Don't you think?

I think it's funny when UK plays as well as they did and ONLY beat Clemson by 8, yet Kentucky lost to Louisville by seven in a game the UL people said the Cards dominated. Some like it both ways I guess.

You didn't respond to this post earlier so I'll put it back up. The beginning is referring to you saying that my picking a UK upset was much more arrogant than your statements. The rest is a reason that the game would be much more competitive.

 

First off if you go back and read all of my posts you will not find one single instance where I predicted a UK win over LSU. Go ahead and check, I'll wait :sleep: :sleep: :sleep: Done? Okay, now that you've done that after UK's last 7-4 regular season they finished 6-5. A dropoff sure but not exactly that big of one. Perhaps you are referring to 2002 when UK finished 7-5? The next year they slumped to 4-8, after losing their coaching staff and while suffering the effects of probation. Neither of which will be a factor this coming season. LSU did put a tremendous beating on UK this year. However, they also caught UK on their worst day of the year. Do you really think that UK was worse than Tulane, Miss St, Miss, Arizona, La-Lafayette? LSU beat UK worse than all of those teams. It was a case of LSU at its best catching UK at its worst. I wouldn't count on that happening next year.

Because of logic and common sense. I'm not trying to be condensending but go back and look at each teams scores for the year and you will see that this game was not typical of either team. If UK played Georgia today I think the outcome could and most probably would be different.

Sorry, I must have lumped you in with a bunch of other posters. They may not be worse than those teams (in fact I think Arizona is better than UK) but they aren't a whole lot better. Sorry guys, history tells us that it is a lot more likely that UK is a flash in the pan then being on the verge of greatness. Tell me again how probation hurt the Cats so bad in Brooks' first year. Was he really counting on the few extra freshmen to make the difference? I'd say it had more to do with playing Lorenzen at wide-out.:scared:

As long as everybody comes back like I think they will, 8 wins is a very realistic possibility. Commonwealth will be rocking next year, and I can't wait.:ylsuper:

Kentucky will be 12-1 entering a BCS game....their only loss will be to Georgia at Georgia, they will win the SEC East, beat LSU in the SEC Championship game and be ranked in the Top 5. They could be playing for the national championship, but will definitely be in a BCS bowl game.

 

They will be the storyline of the decade - they will shock the football world and may even host a Saturday of ESPN Game Day from Commonwealth Stadium - probably on the Saturday they play Florida.

You are correct I am wrong LSU obviously isn't the best team in the SEC, Florida and Auburn are better and LSU is basically even with Ole Miss.
