Patriots try to shoot down Flyers in third round rematch from 2020

Series History: Franklin County leads 1-0 all-time 

Table Setter: The Flyers escaped Central's clutches to claim a second straight district championship last week. Unlike the first meeting, when they maintained a comfortable distance between themselves and the Yellow Jackets, Franklin County needed to come from behind in the fourth quarter to pull this one out. The defense was phenomenal again, and Kaden Moorman is still a beast.

Allen County-Scottsville will get an up close look at Moorman this Friday. They should remember him from last year's quarterfinal round, when he scored three times against them to help the Flyers wax the Patriots 48-14. ACS also claimed its second consecutive district crown by beating Franklin-Simpson by a touchdown. Quarterback Payton Cope accounted for four touchdowns, raising his season total to 28. He has a propensity to turn the football over, as evidenced by the 17 interceptions he's thrown this year. Franklin County's defense will surely take notice this week in the film room.

Don’t know much about Allen County, but they better bring their “A” game!

I wish Allen would give them a great game but I’m afraid FC wins big.

7-6 Franklin County just into second quarter. Flyers have only run three offensive plays 

14-6 now. Franklin County scores on another one play drive. 

The two teams have combined for six turnovers. 
 

Franklin County hurting themselves with personal fouls. It is apparent they don’t respect ACS. 

Another Flyer turnover, this an interception. They have four turnovers in the half. They followed that two plays later with an unsportsmanlike penalty, throwing a player down well after the whistle. 
 

They’ll win this game in all likelihood, and I appreciate the fire, but man…..

14-6 Franklin County at the half. They’ll start with the ball. Both of their touchdowns came on big plays to start a drive, both following a Patriot turnover. Allen County got their touchdown after forcing a fumble following a red zone turnover of their own, scoring a few plays later. 

Flyers take the opening kick back 78 yards for a score. Had trouble handling it but they’re killing Scottsville when they hit open field. 

28-6 Franklin County now. Moorman scores on direct snap. Flyers wide awake now. 

Allen County-Scottsville had a good shot at a scoop and score, settling for Franklin County’s fifth turnover. But they followed it by throwing a pick six. Franklin County up 35-6.

Just not ACS's night. Sounds like a strange one in Frankfort.
