The GRC cards just keep finding a way to win. I am so proud of you guys.:ylsuper: Knowles again gets hurt and has to miss several minutes. He tore the nail off of his thumb. I don't have any stats but these kids are playing with so much heart. Real TEAM effort tonight.

Hats off to Holmes team, they should go far in the 9th region.

Male tomorrow at 8:30.

Wow, congrats to GRC. I was wrong in that I thought Holmes would win this one on the backs of Hill and Rice.

This is a nice win for the Cards...good luck tomorrow trying to get done what CCH just couldn't -- beating Male.

Very impressive win by a Clark County squad that is still playing short-handed. Good luck vs. Male!

Article with stats in Lexington Hearld today.

No pain, no gain? Knowles lifts Clark despite injuries

Clark County senior star Preston Knowles, playing through pain, put the hurt on Holmes in the quarterfinals of the Fifth Third Bank Holiday Classic last night at Lexington Catholic.

Knowles, who got seven stitches Wednesday night for a reopened cut over his left eye, took a poke in the eye and had the fingernail on the thumb of his shooting hand almost ripped off last night.

But he still pumped in 22 points to lead Clark County to a 56-54 win over Holmes.

"If Preston doesn't make all-tournament, he'll make all-training room," Cardinals Coach Scott Humphrey said with a laugh. "He's such a competitor; the brighter the lights, the bigger he shines."

Good win for the Cards. When Jones gets back look out 10th Region.

Go 10th Region.

Yeah i agree watch out 10th region, Knowles is pretty much carrying this team on his back right now and they are still beating really good teams. It is kinda scary to think about what they can do when Tristian Jones gets back in the middle.
