Most disappointing season so far?

Featured Replies

Simon Kenton the offense can score points but the defense gives up way to many points they need to find a really good defense coordinator.

I get the argument to say that Trinity is disappointing compared to other seasons but... they are still Trinity and may just win the whole thing. I don't think they are the favorite. I think the state game will be a Male-St.X rematch, but that being said, Trinity fills their schedule with top-tier, nationally ranked opponents every year. Just because they have lost to several out of state teams does not mean that they aren't still a top team in our state. Trinity lost Beatty this year and from what I understand they also had several transfers to X. I don't think they will beat Male or X in the playoffs, but the overriding points is that it would not surprise me in the slightest if they were back in the state game this year because they are still a really good football team. Those who are saying they are bad this year aren't reading between the lines.

I thought Lincoln County was set up to have their best year in a long time and it just hasn't happened.  They have played some really good football at times. They have had some injuries but they also lost some games they just shouldn't have lost.  They have a couple of players who are as good as Lincoln has ever had.

I agree with what you said about Trinity. Not a team you want to face in the playoffs because their schedule well so they've seen so many different situations against different opponents who are very good. They've been very up and down, and a lot of that has to do with their youth, but if they get everything going in the same direction they can beat anyone, ie. Cincinnati St. X.

There is a lot of teams in contention for this title, but for me, it is McCracken County. Never lost the district before, decent hype pre-season, although there were warning signs, but the wheels just completely fell off.

Trinity vs Male will be a battle in semifinals.

Would that game be at Male 94?

Christian Co. How does this happen?

Bowling Green. See Christian Co question.

I will say it may seem fair to have Bowling Green on this list.

But Bowling Green isn't a private school and its been since 2002 (nearly 20 seasons) since they have had a record near their current record.  And they aren't playing Fulton County each week.  They won the 2020 State Championship and return 2 starters on offense this season.  I think that's all I need to say.

Only transfer to St. X from Trinity that I know of was Sophomore QB Trevor Havill. St. X sophomore QB Doug Hepner then transferred to Trinity. Basically was a swap. Lol.
