Tigerpride94 Posted September 28, 2021 Posted September 28, 2021 I'm a Cardinals fan and this streak has been unbelievable. All season played .500 ball and then rip of 16 in a row.
Voice of Reason Posted September 28, 2021 Posted September 28, 2021 Despite that win streak, if the Reds played .500 ball the last month this race would be going down to the wire.

They have won 17 in a row and are only 18 games over .500 coming into the home stretch and will end up losing their division by 5 or so games. Luckily MLB expanded the Wildcard format a few years back or they would be on the outside looking in for the post-season.
nkypete Posted September 29, 2021 Posted September 29, 2021 As much as I dislike the Cardinals, one has to give them credit for a great finish. 1

Most of the pitching staff was out injured most of season so that is part of reason just .500 most of season. Also, batting wasn't good either but this last month started hitting better along with getting pitchers back. Pitchers they picked up at trade deadline like Lester have pitched better as well.
The Raven Posted September 30, 2021 Posted September 30, 2021 Looks like it may be ending. 4-0 Milwaukee in the 8th.
