Freshman update. St. X 21-8 at halftime.

  • I like the way X has performed in their first 2 games!  It's a shame that their defense is so riddled with injuries.  I do think the Tigers will give Male a hell of a game, but I suspect it may not be

  • I think Male will move the ball and score - but I think St. X can slow it down with their run/pass mix.  The big WR for X is a tough matchup and I know Male has a ton of matchup problems.  X needs to

I’m taking Male in this one.

St. X defense starters that were listed out for Central game:

1. DE Micah Carter

2. DE Teddy Meiers

3. LB Jaxon Panariello

4. LB Eli Monks

5. CB Matthew Donhoff

6. DL LeAndre Maxwell

7. CB Kanon Williams

I think most or all of these guys can be back by playoffs. Maxwell and Carter are biggest question marks. I don't know how bad Carter's injury is and he was on crutches at Central game. Maxwell I believe can potentially be back in October.

The first 4 are huge. I think they’re gaining some great experience for backup players, but man that is a tough injury list this early in the season.

Yes, I just hope mostly healthy by playoff time when really matters.

Male 35- 10. This is '21 so that favors Male to win state this year ('15,'18......'21??).

I hope it's a great game.....but my gut says....

Male by 21

Tiger defense has to be able to contain the run. Male has playmakers all over the field, but have to be able to keep the Male running game in check.

I think Male will move the ball and score - but I think St. X can slow it down with their run/pass mix.  The big WR for X is a tough matchup and I know Male has a ton of matchup problems.  X needs to bend but not break on Defense.  If X wins the TO battle by 2, X will win.  I think this is a lot closer than some expect:

X in the upset 31-28
