Mater Dei (CA) defeated St. John Bosco (CA) 42-21 in a matchup of top 5 teams in the country, according to Calpreps and USA Today. Those two are always near the top of the national rankings in recent years.

Elder (OH) beat Moeller (OH) 59-58 in OT. I though Moeller would win this one but Elder came up with the win.

I haven't seen the recent RPI rankings, but Northeast beat Pinellas Park last Friday night. PP was at #2 in 6A Region 3, Northeast #3. Northeast may jump Jesuit to go to #1. It should be interesting to see if Countryside's single wing works as well against them. I'm thinking not so much.

You should have stuck around. By pure chance I met @LongTimeReader.

For what it is worth, this was a non-district game for Countryside who still leads its district (FL 6A Region 3 District 9). If all holds true, this could be a preview of the first round of the playoffs. Note that Countryside upset Northeast in the first round last year.
