Tattoos

I've always never had an interest in tattoos and said I'd never get one. However, I've seemed to be more open to it recently and have been trying to design something with some real meaning to me.

As far as the personal meaning, I'll leave that one alone, but I want some input on another I'm contemplating that I really think I'd like.

Take a look at my profile picture. There you have it. The PT logo and the Tornado have always been special to me. I love the look of it.

Does anyone have a school/team name or logo tattooed? What are your opinions on it? Should I pursue further? I'd definitely like to hear some feedback.

About tattoos in general… If you want something, get it. Who cares what other people think of it. Your tattoos are for you, not other people.

I plan on getting something Louisville/UofL related at some point, I just haven’t gotten around to it.

Very true. Just being new to the game, it seems like I've asked myself a million questions.

Once I decide on the final product, the placement is driving me crazy too. Lots of places you can put them.

Many moons ago, my daughter told me she and her best friend were considering getting a tattoo on their back and she wanted to know what I thought. Missy poo poo was attempting to get a reaction from her old man.

I just smiled and told her if she was going to do something like that to put sport trivia, the Magna Carta, or something else interesting for a guy to read.

She just looked at me and said, "Eww!" and she never got a tattoo on her back. 😇

My only concern is your asking for public feedback on a lifetime commitment.  You gotta be all in.

I get what you're saying, however I'm open to any feedback, good or bad. Like you said, it's a lifetime commitment and I want to make sure all bases are covered as it seems like I think of something each day that I didn't the day before. Who knows, it may not ultimately be for me, but have just leaned heavily that way recently.

I hear ya brother I ask my friends all the time if I should buy X, Y, Z.  That usually tells me I probably shouldn’t.  I have 4 tattoos, 2 tributes, then 2 fun ones.  You see people with UK tattoos all the time and nobody questions it because they match the passion of the ink.  If you’re in that same category, yolo.

I didn’t believe this before I got my first one, but they truly are addicting. I’m always wanting some new ink.

I have a tattoo and I am proud of it.

My only reservation with it is cancel culture. Some cancel culture is warranted, some of it I believe we go way too far with. But let's say you have a tattoo of a cause, organization, team, etc. and all of a sudden that group is linked with some kind of huge salacious scandal that you don't want to be associated with. Then you have to appear on one of those cover-up reality shows to correct it.

If quality tattoos weren’t so expensive, I’d have a lot more of them.  I have the next 5 or 6 mapped out in my brain.

I'm 100% with you on this. My biggest concern of all.
