PRESS RELEASE:

As a spectator representing Bracken County High School, if you are ejected from an athletic event (home or away) by a referee, umpire, school administrator, etc., you will not be allowed to attend another home or away event during the entire season of that sport.  This also includes post-season. 

Good. You are way out of line if display behavior that gets you ejected.

Have zero problem with this. Support your team, support the kids. No reason to yell at officials or make a scene. Contrary to what the coach and fans might think, no referee is trying to hurt your team.

I agree with this too cheer for your team not against the other team or the referees. My all time favorite that you here late in every game from at least one fan when the referee throws a penalty someone is going to holler they’ve been doing it all night.

“Call it both ways” when their own team has two fouls and their opponent has seven.

That’s another good one.

The impetus for this is possibly more related to conforming with Covid, as well as "over-zealous" support for the team.  Hopefully, lessons have been learned.  

I think this clearly relates to the diminishing numbers of officials in all sports and the difficulty in recruiting new, younger officials.  I believe officials expect to hear coaches in their ear (within reason of course) but to hear some of the absolute abuse heaped on by some fans is ridiculous.  I think you will see this approach (and even more stringent rules) become common practice in most school districts in the near future.

I've been to a recent (last 2 years)football game on Owensboro's schedule where a fan was yelling racial obscenities to the Owensboro players, the officials and police told him to get back, and walked him back probably 20 feet, then left him.  The guy wasn't even escorted out.  This needs to be instituted state-wide and also involve this kind of behavior.
