Padres at Reds (6/29 - 7/1)

Time for some pay back. Well, at least 2 of 3 hopefully.

Game 1 is now a bullpen night for the Padres with Blake Snell scratched due to illness. Craig Stammen starts things off. Santillan on the mound for the Reds.

Padres left a small village on the base paths tonight and still got a win.

Probably true. Did they even have outfield fences in Abner's day? And I am pretty sure they didn't wear gloves. Now there is an idea. Let's take away everyone's gloves. That will add more baserunners.

I feel like once a year the Reds have guys come in and play a game under the old rules before a real game and they all play without gloves and it looks like a different ball.

I know Larkin said Freeman would have scored on that throw to second but I don't know if that is true.

On the ground ball Winker hit, trying to score was the right move.

Reds get it done against Melancon again. Farmer homers to tie it. Stevenson singles with the bases loaded and two outs to win it.
