December 20, 200619 yr I just noticed that Santa Clara is ranked number 19 on the Mid-Major Top 25 poll. Any team in that poll is a threat in my book.:thumb: I know many are discrediting the win, but Santa Clara is not a bad team.
December 20, 200619 yr Do you have a link to that poll, someone mentioned earlier about Mid-Major rankings and I would like to follow those. Also, did I hear one of the announcers talking about one of the Santa Clara players, was a transfer from WKU....I believe may have been the big man, did anyone else hear that? They normally have them on ESPN.com each week.
December 20, 200619 yr They normally have them on ESPN.com each week....Thanks, I usually visit FoxSports more than ESPN but I will look.

Any team in that poll is a threat in my book.:thumb: SC is a very good team and will surprise a lot of teams, IMO. I also believe they are a better team then Lville right now. I think a lot of UK fans think if the Cats do not play a team in the top 20 we should win by 25+ points. I see so many who predict scores of the game that do not even have a clue to who UK is playing. If the team the Cats play does not have an every day house hold name it should be a blowout for UK.

I thought they did several things well and goes to show, a system, half-court sets and consistency can be very effective. On paper, UK certainly would have the athletic advantage but Basketball is a game, that athleticism can be neutralized by a team who executes fundamentals, block-outs, ball handling, passing, patience and controlling the tempo. I believe UK will get better, in many of these aspects over time. Many young players are playing key roles and adjusting to the college game, combined with Morris, Crawford, Bradley and Perry. They will get better in time and a week from now, they very well could be 11-3 heading into SEC play.
December 20, 200619 yr http://www.collegeinsider.com/mmpoll/Thanks Wireman....:thumb: On an off topic note, I noticed that Ralph Willard from Holy Cross was listed as a voter in the poll and I saw their game with Duke, he's completely white headed now....like Nolan Richardson was last night.

December 20, 200619 yr I've heard over and over that he can face up and shoot. I've never actually seen Woo do it He had at least 2 or 3 against SC. What he doesn't have though, is a handle on the ball. You can't put him at the 3 or 4 because he can't dribble. Heck.. he usually has a tough time catching a pass.
December 21, 200619 yr Solid win for the Cats, Santa Clara will suprise some people this year. Now its time to get ready for a tough UMass team. We have to get Crawford going, he struggled again last night.
