Justin Seiter was a complete player for Brossart. He could shot the 3, drive to the basket, get rebounds, and post you up. He did a really good job of adjusting his game to what his team needed him to do.

 

Chris Lofton has to be at the top though. I too am somewhat new to the 10th Region and unfortunately can't go that far back.

as good as Seiter, Rhino and Cooney were... they are not Ronnie Lyons or Chris Lofton. There are a lot of greats from back in the day were forgetting i'm sure.

100% for sure that she played for Highlands. Played varsity as a seventh grader I beleive. Went on to have a decent career down at WKU and is now back at Highlands coaching the girls basketball team.

And I'd like to pull out some names that lead their teams to multiple Sweet Sixteen appearances.

Brian Witajewski from Harrison County, good defender, sweet stroke and a very heady player.

Josh Graham from Fleming County, great ballhandler for his size and unstoppable down low with many post moves.

And I cannot leave out these players who may have had the best head to head matchup of all time in a regional:

Shawn Myrick of Mason County, simply a great scorer.

Billy Ray Fawns, some like to call him "Big Shot Billy", if you're a Royal fan he broke your "achy breaky heart."

Didn't Clark County have a stud back in the '60s or '70s? UK recruited him, but he went elsewhere. I can't think of his name.

You may be talking about Larry Gay...went to Florida State then was Assistant at U of L for awhile.

Linville Puckett played at Clark Co in the late 50's and early 60's and went on to play at UK.

No telling how many points Lyons would have scored in high school had there been a 3-point line in the late 60's. Went on to play at UK but never really starred there. No doubt that Lofton has made more of his opportunity.

Yes , lets nor forget Nathan Seiter, he was the man and for my money one , if not the best in the 10th. Justin wasnt all that shabby either...LOL!! I DO know who would win the best brother tandem in the 10th. No brainer:D

Ronnie Lyons has my vote. I agree with mcpapa on the 3 point line. He would have the record in Ky if they had the 3 point shot then. I used to work with ronnie at Lexmark. He is a very nice person. His problem at UK is Joe Hall just did not care for him...

 

 

Not sure if Joe B. liked Ronnie or not, even if he didn't, shouldn't have had much impact on whether Coach Rupp played him or not. Rupp was Ronnie's coach at UK...not Hall.
