As I said, I didn't like it. He (Fletcher) must have really struck a nerve and said/did something he shouldn't have. Cal is incredibly calculated so I know there is method to the madness, so that is all I am holding on to with this case.

I think he basically had no choice but to come out and say and do something. It became very public very fast about Fletchers actions at the end of the game. So much to where Fletcher also had to issue an apology.

Which Cal seems to be still trying to get these guys to buy in, and so he really couldn’t let Fletchers actions slide, with no consequences.

He could have said nothing, about Fletcher being sent home. However, that would have only led to questions at the Louisville game, when Fletcher wasn’t anywhere to be seen. So he really had no choice but to try to get out in front of this, and show what the consequences are for worrying more about themselves, than the team.

He could have said, "Fletcher and I have had a productive conversation and he is going to step away from the team for a bit to evaluate some things." And left it at that. Look, we all get there is a culture and correct way of behaving, but that social media post came across as a brow-beating public admonishment when it was clear Fletcher had already been reprimanded for his actions, somewhat privately. It is airing out dirty laundry that didn't need airing and it comes across petty.

Fair enough.

Hearing CAL and some of his top players are having a power struggle. Sounds like Coach has lost control of the program and maybe more transfers are coming. If I was Allen I wouldn’t blame him to leave.

Interesting where you are hearing this? Which top players is he having a power struggle with? Which players may be transferring?

Obviously Fletcher is one of them, because well everyone know this. However, it seems you have some inside knowledge, since you said you are hearing this? So I’m curious on what exactly you are hearing? Or is it more your your opinion that you have formed, based on the Fletcher story we have all heard?

Kyle Tucker from the Athletic had a story about it and KSR radio talked about it yesterday late in the show and today. Jones said today he usually hears stuff even if he can’t comment on it. Stuff leaks out and gets to him.  He hasn’t heard anything about this situation.

Pretty obvious there are some problems happening in Lexington.  Show me a team that is 1 and 5 with the talent level that the media says they have and not performing at a higher level, there's will always be some finger pointing.

A team that is 1 and 5 doesn’t mean the problems are what he said in the quote I tweeted. Stating Cal has lost control of the program, that there is a power struggle with the top players and him. Which that all very well could be true, that is why I asking where he has heard that from. I read about everything with UK, and obviously there was an issue with Fletcher and him upset about playing time. I am just curious what other things there were? Besides the normal trying to get 10 guys, mostly freshman learning how to play together at the college level. The second part I mentioned very well could be the only issue, and not all the other things he listed in that quote I responded to.

I have the athletic and read Tuckers stories. I also listen to KSR, and all that.  I’m still trying to find out, besides with Fletcher obviously. Where is the power struggle? What is there that shows Cal has lost the program? Has others besides Fletcher talked about leaving? Everyone assumes Allen would leave if he doesn’t play more,  but is there any truth to that? Or is that just outside people forming their own opinion?

UK has looked horrible this year, no argument there. But imo the main problem could very well be that it is 10 brand new guys who never played together before, with most of them being freshman. Having to learn how to play together, and the level they need to play at in college to be successful. Which they are still learning how to do that. That very well could be more true, than there is a power struggle with top players, players may be transferring, Cal has lost the team and other things you said.

You very well may be right with all of that. I was just curious if there was something definite showing that or that is out there with that, besides the Fletcher thing we all know about. It seems like the rest of what you said, is more people forming their own opinions on things rather than really knowing.

Either way though this team needs to figure it out fast. They have little if any room for error now.

Rumors are flying everywhere. If KY loses Saturday against UL Rupps Rafters is saying Clarke and Boston may opt out and prepare for the draft. It doesn’t sound good for the program or CAL at the moment.

Curious where you are hearing/seeing that Clarke and Boston might opt out?

Chatter on  Rupp Rafters saying it. Who knows but it sounds like KY has a lot of issues beside the Xs and Os.

Don't Believe everything you hear on Rupps Rafters. Most of them on there have no clue what they are talking about. They don't know anything more than You and I.

Agreed but usually where there’s smoke there’s fire.
