December 14, 200619 yr I don't think you can, there are some coaches such as Coach K that could basically have whoever he wanted. Have you watched Puke play this year? I think if he gets whomever he wants his talent level is down this year big time.
December 14, 200619 yr I know I am one of the biggest Tubby supporters on this board, but its obviouus Tubby HAS to be more consistent in recruiting and NEVER have classes like the Senior and Sophomore classes again........:thumb: I think any UK fan would agree, this is an area the coaching staff as as whole, must improve on and emphasis more. Ultimately, the recruits you bring in must fit your system and every school, has the same names on their board, perhaps in different sequence. I've always thought UK has a glaring weakness, back to the Joe B. days, of a small or power forward, who could rebound, shoot and post up if needed. Hord, Hurt, Kenny Walker, 'Buike, etc....were physically gifted but not that basketball player, who can make things look easy, effortless. Perhaps they are all leaving early for the NBA, not sure if they exist.

I am officially done posting on College Basketball! Like I said eariler its like banging your head on the wall!Right now I hate being apart of a group of people that call themselves UK basketball fans! I will pull for the cats always but I will not be a part of the so called fans that that give our state and school a bad name!!! Tayshuan Prince Keith Bogans Marvin Stone Marquis Estill Cliff Hawkins Gerald Fitch Erik Daniels Jason Parker Check Hayes rashaad Carruth Kalenna Azubuike Ravi Moss Joe Crawford Randolph Morris Rajon Rondo Michael Porter Derrick Jasper Jodie Meeks Perry Stevenson Like I said a few of these guys did not pan out but the majority did work out and are working out! That is a nice list you have put together... I can think of one thing they ALL have in common. They came to UK to make it to the Final Four...None of them accomplished that.

December 15, 200619 yr I like Tubby and am not a UK fan, but nice try. His recruiting inconsistency is a problem. I call a spade a spade... Yes you can, and you have hit the nail on the head on this thread. A lot of UK fans see it too, but some on here think if you point it out, you are a Tubby basher and/or you just don't know basketball...in other words, they have their head buried in the sand...

Hey I'm not saying they aren't using it because I know I would be. But as an adminstrator that evaluates what he's done you have to take that into consideration.
