Currently we have little information due to privacy/health laws. As we were preparing to begin practice today we were notified that our team was being placed on a 14 day quarantine. Per guidelines set forth by the health department and followed by our school district; these are steps that are taken anytime a student(s) may have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for the Coronavirus. These steps are intended to protect everyone involved. Parents of the student/athletes involved should expect to receive further communication from the Covington Independent School District tomorrow.

It's 9 Days if the playoffs are a go.  Interesting as they are the favorite to win the first 2 rounds!   

Playoffs are a go, unless you opt out like some have.  They will have to play on Saturday or forfeit.  Hopefully Boyd County agrees to moving the game.  I assume with Holmes being the host team, they choose the date/time?

Playoff games are automatically set for Friday’s but can be moved if both schools agree. It would be an extremely jerk move to not move it back one day if a team has been quarantined. 

I would agree with you there.  Let's just play the game when we can play it.

So if they're in 14 day quarantine, that puts them at being able to return to practice on 11/25, correct?

14 days from lets say Friday last week will allow a team to play a playoff game next Sat.

So it looks like this game has been moved to Saturday at 4 PM...assuming Holmes is completely cleared to play?  May check this one out!
