Even with Paintsville as banged up as they are, I think they’d beat Breathitt County by 4 scores.

Apparently this game got cancelled today!

I'm a Mayfield guy, and just to put it out there, we are very inconsistent, young, and very vulnerable. Yes we have been to 10 of 11 championship games, but we are young and as I said the other stuff. Soph qb is questionable at times, but we could make deep run in playoffs if covid doesn't shut us down. Love my cards just don't see this young bunch winning it all this year. Well see

I tend to agree, although another trip to the semifinals seems certain. The RPI numbers are tight at the top of 2A, but barring upsets, I suspect Mayfield travels for the semifinals.

Would have to agree with this as well. I’m a biased Beechwood Tiger fan and even I will sit here and say, if we haven’t beaten them yet, we aren’t better. Until that day comes we aren’t in the top 2-3. 

From my perspective, Mayfield has shown regional championship potential up until this point.  Winning any games beyond that is a stretch.  Exceeding expectations is a possibility, but they will need to be clicking on all cylinders to win a sub-state matchup.  I do not see them beating Beechwood or LCA/Somerset, but can compete with or beat anyone else.
