A couple of you have said it, but I think credit needs to go to Beechwood OL Coach Bob Burnett and his crew of offensive linemen.. OT Luke Slusher OG Henry Nachazel C Bryce Shepherd

Not sure how many people watched that tonight, but Beechwood just dismantled a very good NCC team. Cam Hergott contines to emerge as a legit candidate for Mr. Football this season. Not sure how many w

  • I agree Beechwood looked like world beaters tonight but I fear NCC just isn't very good this year so it is hard to compare with past Tiger teams.

I believe you. This could be their year to finally beat Mayfield.

I have nightmares about Mayfield but I am more worried about LCA and Somerset.

#1 AA LCA putting it on #1 A Pikevile tonight, 28-6.

Now that's a game I would have liked to watch in person! Kudos to both of those teams and their staffs for making that one happen.

You should be in their district, like my Caldwell County Tigers are.

I feel your pain, I am still hung up on the 1995 game.

In the famous words of Coach O “Geaux Tigers!!!”. Wish I had his gravelly voice lol!

With Corbin drilling Somerset I am thinking Beechwood moves up to #2 in 2A.

It’s hard to judge Somerset tonight as Sheron didn’t play. He is a great player so that killed Somerset tonight.

Corbin 38, Somerset 14 - 2nd Half

1. This confirms my belief that this is a three headed TIER 1 - LCA, Beechwood, Mayfield in no particular order.

2. This further emboldens those across the state that believe Hergott should be a legit candidate for Mr. Football. Those who believed early on that Hergott had no chance at consideration mainly bc of UK-signee Kaiya Sherron at Somerset being the better AA QB. To date, Hergott's season has been statistically better and now Beechwood will be ranked ahead of Somerset.

3. Stunned, simply stunned Corbin is up so much on the Briar Jumpers. Curious what's going on down there tonight? Sherron not playing? Grundy out? Doan? Seems like there has to be a missing piece of information for the score to be that out of hand.

Somerset turned the ball over 4 times that I saw in the game thread. I know two of those turnovers were returned for scores.

Their back up QB dropped the ball on all 4 occasions. They eventually put Grundy at QB. Sounded like a rough night for the Briar Jumpers but as long as Sheron comes back they will be ok.

This is now four games in a row that have been beyond lopsided - Holy Cross, Lloyd, Newport, and now NCC. The scores of all of those games don't indicate how clearly dominant Beechwood was in those games.

So I'm trying to figure out -- is it possible there are just that many "not very good" teams in NKY this year or are the Tigers THAT good?

I'm beginning to think they indeed are THAT good.

They look that good. They had CCH on the ropes in that game so that tells you something.

As others have pointed out Sheron did not play for Somerset tonight. That obviously is a very big factor in the game especially with what others have relayed about the turnovers with the backup quarterback.

How would Beechwood do if Hergott did not play in a game?  It certainly would be a huge loss for Beechwood.  As big a loss as it would be I don't think Beechwood would get beat like that by Corbin without Hergott. Beechwood's defense is too good to see a score like that.

Indeed...against a team Beechwood handled and defeated on the road.
