Mason Co. 87 Ashland 49

Featured Replies

Three straight games in the 40's for the TomCats.

I thought Ashland was looking to put some points up on the board this year?

I was really close with my prediction on this one.

Mason 87

Ashland 41

Was it ever close ? Could it have been worse or did Mason let they younger kids see some varsity minutes ?

Everyone knows that Mason has a great team this year. They have not played a top 20 team yet, and won't till possibality the 5/3.

I never said they weren't. I just said that they are alot more than Miller. Some people seem to think that he is the only player they have. They go about 11 deep and dont lose much at all. They will show what they are made of when they play the likes of Scott Co. J-town GRC and Catholic later on in the year. They have taken care of business so far and they have been very impressive while doing so. It isn't their fault they haven't played a top 20 team yet. All signs lead to a great run in March!

It was 16 at half and no it wasn't really ever close and yes Mason JV played almost as much as there starters total time wise as its been in all the games so far.Buddy subedout with 3:12 in the game left.

I didnt get a chance to listen to this one. Anyone from Ashland's team stick out to some of you Mason fans ?

I hope that the Ashland fans don't get down on this team or coach. I firmly believe that the Tomcats will come around and be a very good b.b. team. Go Tomcats ! I am with you all the way (except on Feb.3 :D )

Thomas looked good Athletic guy,Wilcox knocked down some 3.

Thomas and Mcdavy both good athletes. I heard Thomas came from Male. Anyway the "PRESS" got the best of Buddy Biggs Tomcats. But all in all i feel Ashland will be a contender in the 16th. They havent even played a home game yet.

Poor ole Buddy Got a Technical in the first half and i really didnt see why he didnt do anything. He was yelling out a play and the Ref gave him a T. Anyways CONGRATS ROYALS:thumb:

If people think Mason only has Miller then they have not seen them play. In the 10th we know they are alot more than Miller. Scott and Middleton can light you up any time. I look for them to make a great run in the 5/3..great teams in the tourney , but I pick them to win it all. GRC will still be without Jones and Stenzel.

I was just curious if they would continue to run and gun against Mason.

Fair enough question I suppose, but I really think that question is a mute one. I really believe that Ashland will push the ball and play up tempo ball with Biggs at the helm regardless of the opponent, JMO.

Now, its pretty obvious that there is work to be done with this style of play but I would like to think we have kids that will have a steep learning curve in regards to figuring out how to "run and gun".

Its a tough transition going from a 10 year or more run of gritty 50-point games to a run and gun team that shoots for the 70's. I still think Ashland will be right there at the end of the season.

Because it was predicted in another thread?

Cool!! I'm glad to know your half Parrot.. But seriously, our showing against Mason really doesn't help bolster Boyd either. Or is there some way that 2 point win last Friday over us could make the Lions that much better of an opponent for Mason? Some things I'll never understand:confused:

:sssh: I think what your saying is if his team had them on schedule you could say it was going to be a laugher also.:D
