I agree with all who say Johnny will develop into a very good, valuable player. I really hate to see him go.

The reality is nobody knows why Juzang is transferring. He was playing a more expanded role the more the season unfolded, and that was most likely going to continue. I do hate when Cal jerks out role players for making a mistake or missing a shot, but it was equally as obvious Juzang was awful on defense through much of the year, had horrible decision making with the ball and simply couldn't be out on the court. Put aside his shooting. I do think he would have turned out to be a really good player. Sucks he is gone. But to pretend you know why he is gone is unfounded.

 

Agree his defense not being good. Disagree with the horrible decision making with the ball. Especially no worst than some guys like Maxey and Hagans. Only difference is those guys got to keep playing after those mistakes, Juzang would be pulled right away.

 

I expect him to end up being one of the better transfer likes Kyle W, and Matthews was.

Smart young man, maybe he can go somewhere and relax and play without being yelled and cussed at, best of luck young man.

Haha dude your personal bias against Cal is hilarious. First of all the majority of coaches yell at players. Secondly the majority of players who have played for Cal, have loved him, and have thanked him for his coaching and the things they did for them. How he truly put them first before anything else. Hence, why you always see former players under him back in Lexington a lot.

 

If you want to talk about Cal having a short leash for some of the role players. You won’t get any disagreement from me. However to act like Cal doesn’t appreciate the players is simply not true.

Hagans should have sit much more, Maxey at certain times, when he wasn’t scoring well and having a bad game with poor decisions being made, Juzang was given one shot at the basket to determine how much he would play or one possession defensively. Juzang should have gotten more minutes versus zone defenses and especially when others were turning the ball over and taking bad shots, also Montgomery should have sit much more and Juzang play with a smaller lineup, IMO.

From what I’m hearing UCLA is probably the leader. Would have been an easy one for USC but apparently Einfeld got ticked when he committed to UK and burned the bridge. Dummy.

You also do realize he started two games. Then he missed about two or three weeks with an illness. So when he came back he slowly had to work his way back and by the end of the season was receiving regular minutes. Which about the same as any other player who is a freshman that is having to come off the bench.

 

You simply have a personal bias here.
