Coronavirus and the Airlines - Why are they still flying?

My cousin is flying again.

 

He indicated out of 9 flights he piloted, 4 were at the restricted maximum load of 79 passengers. He says activity is up. But still much lower that pre-rona.

United Airlines said they will need 3,000 of their 25,000 flight attendant crew for June. For those who thought the economy was gonna bounce back, it’s not.

Just got off a google meet chat with my brother. He and some buddies postponed the annual golf trip to September. But chose to drive to South Carolina instead of fly. Said there is too much potential virus spread that can happen in a confined airline cabin.

Flew to Florida today. We were told that masks would be mandatory and that all middle seats would be open. They made us stand six feet apart as we boarded. The plane was PACKED and about 50% of the people wore masks. Guess we are back to normal even though we don’t know it.

 

Honestly would have driven had we known. Guess That’s what happens when you gamble!
