If you don't mind my asking...

What is the source you used for Prestonsburg's all-time record ? (My pre-1976 info came from the archives of the Ashland Daily Independent)

Wouldn't have any idea of where it originally came from. Have numbers on over 2000 schools nationwide, some from AD's, head coaches, local reporters, booster clubs, state athletic assn, etc. I think my figure did not include 2005 for some reason, so if I adjust with the 7 wins and losses, our difference is not that much.

Do you have Corbin's numbers?

Couldn't find much detail, merely a list of coaches:

Steve Jewell

Jerry Eubank

Larry Adams

Archie Powers

Walt Green

Anyone know Lawrence Countys record from 90 to 02?

Good stuff. :thumb: I wish I had some records that were complete for Boyle County.

These I know:

2000's 88-12.

1990's 76-45

1980's 47-57

1974 - 1979 50-17

The rest is very hazy. I know that the 60's saw their 2 worst records of 0-10, back to back. But the 60's also saw:

1963 9-0

1965 (?) 7-2-2

A winning team in '69 I believe.

1969 (?) 9-1-1

I only know the Rebels record from the first year of Ed Rall in '74 through today. It seems Boyle may have had a winning mark once or twice in the early 70's but I'm uncertain.

'63 is the first year of football for the Rebels. If someone knows other years and marks that would be a help. I think Boyle actually has a winning record in all games played but don't know for sure what the % is.

I would like to know the actual records to refute the notion that Boyle was somehow never a good program before Chuck Smith. In fact, when Smith came he embraced the program that Boyle had in the late 70's and early 80's and used it as a reference to inspire the kids that they could be winners. Of course he then took them to a different stratosphere. :thumb:

Boyle County..........that's another one I am looking for. You go farther back than me. I just have the last two coaches:

2005-06: Chris Pardue 17-8

1992-04: Chuck Smith 142-33

After that, the rest is what people told me. :D

John Griggs (1989-1991): 5-25

Sam Burke (1988) 2-8

Ed Rall (1974-1987) 94-57

John Buchanan (1969 ? - 1973) (PM Chief Smoke, he might know how to get his records)

Two other Boyle coaches were Dennis Sexton and a Greer. Any beyond that, I don't know.

Mason County is 145-155 and was started in 1979.

As you may have noticed, I have been posting individual schools, and the info I have on them, in hopes of input on some of the missing data. Will add them to the existing State list:

Hey Texan! Good to hear from you again!! I have an update on Bowling Green High for you. The Purples were 13-2 again this year, making their all-time record 557-314-35.

I just got out of the hospital and am working with only one limb right now (nerve damage in my right arm). I'm very lucky to have caught this thread and you!:D

Thanks Purple Haze. Hope you're feeling better soon. Another great year for your team. Will actually update once I get the full list of season ending results from my contact in KY. Working them state by state.

Still another week to go in playoffs here. State championship game in 5A next Saturday at the Alamo Dome in San Antonio. I will there ! Southlake Carroll vs Austin Westlake.
