February 16, 20206 yr Nwora with another "big game" performance. ACC player of the year, my backside!!! Their is a definite ceiling for a team with Mr Inconsistent as the best player.
February 16, 20206 yr I’m starting to think the chemistry isn’t good with this group, and I wonder how much of that is because of Nwora’s inconsistency.

Their ceiling is the best team in the country, we've seen that at times. Consistency is the issue for this team not coaching or ability. At their best, I think they can beat anyone else having their best day...Cards best is better than others.

At their best, I think they can beat anyone else having their best day...Cards best is better than others. I didn't mention their coaching, and while I'm a UL fan, I don't agree with your ceiling. You need your best players to play like it in March, and I haven't seen anything from Nwora that tells me he will be able to play well 4x in a row when it matters. Like Johnson, he is playing very well, like Sutton a lot, and am board with the two 5's. Bench is solid. But you need a pro to play like it. He doesn't, for long stretches.
February 17, 20206 yr This team can still string it together, but the years of recruits decommitting and players leaving campus are perfectly evident on this team. We shouldn't be in a position of relying on Fresh Kimble and Ryan McMahon to pull us out of this (as when the Adidas scandal broke, we lost an entire class -- among other things). It just doesn't work on a bad night for the star players on this team. This is a simple rule for Louisville: if Nwora is bad, UofL has a lot to overcome. Two home games this week for the Cardinals to figure out who they want to be the rest of the year.
