December 9, 200619 yr Makes you wonder about the kids in the UF program... Makes me wonder who took his ACT/SAT. It's kind of unbelievable a person could be that dumb. And I really don't like the way Costas kept on fishing Rainey along. He just got a big story and probably ruined this kids collegiate career along the way. Not that the kid didn't do his own part, but that might have been a tape I would have saved for a rainy day.

December 9, 200619 yr Lakeland 45 St. Thomas Aquinas 42 2OT From the game blog... We can say Chris Rainey had a spectacular day, but it was overshadowed by his own dilemma. He finished with 276 yards and three touchdowns, but after the FHSAA concludes its investigation, what will happen to the Lakeland program, and more importantly, to a country boy who played his heart out. Great game. St. Thomas Aquinas scored 35 points in the 4th quarter, with two successful on-side kicks to tie the game and send it into overtime. They scored 2 TDs in less than one minute. In the second overtime, Lakeland kicked a field goal and St. Thomas Aquinas went for the win on 4th down on the half yard line. Gutsy call by the coach.
