I totally agree. Preston's stock is going up every game...

If you want to call Scotty Hopson the best prospect in the state I am fine with that because he basically is. But hes not the best player in the state. He doesnt play hard and wants to stay on the perimeter too much.

Well put. Those of you who have not seen him play should not be making your judgements about best potential. He is off the charts talent wise. Nobody comes close. Miller and Mackey are the closest talent wise, but they don't have what he has. Unfortunately, the boy doesn't give 100% all the time.

This should not even be being discussed. Hands down it's Miller he is simply amazing and people around maysville will soon saying they are from D Millerville!

IMO Pettigrew is the best high school player, so I voted for him. I think Mackey, Miller, Knowles, Proffit, ect. will all see more success than Stephon in college, but right now I don't see anyone in the state who can stop Pettigrew.

I think in January Mason County plays Scott County. That game, much like Scott Co's game last night vs. University Heights will feature 3 of the top, probably 6 or 7 best players in the state.

If Steffphon can get some help from his young team mates it will help him secure the Mr. Basketball title. Even without their help he is the front runner for the title. No one can stop him one on one. No one.

An interesting question.

 

Steffon Pettigrew is putting up amazing numbers. But from what I hear his team isn't going to be very good. Matt Walls and Ty Proffit are also putting up very good numbers and should continue to do that. So say Walls averages around 26 points a game and around 10 boards and several assists and Scott Co has a great record. And Pettigrew averages over 30 a game and 12 rebounds or so. Who gets Mr. Basketball?
