George Zimmerman files $100 Million lawsuit against Trayvon Martin’s family & prosecutors.

Featured Replies

Zimmerman's suit names Trayvon Martin's parents, the Martin family's attorney, the prosecutors who sought to convict Zimmerman of murder, Florida Department of Law Enforcement, the state of Florida, and a book publisher for $100 million in civil damages, alleged defamation, abuse of civil process, and conspiracy.

The publisher, HarperCollins, released a book that was authored by the lawyer who represented Trayvon Martin's family, Tallahassee attorney Benjamin Crump. The book, titled Open Season: Legalized Genocide of Colored People, was released in October 2019 and made TIME magazine's "42 Most Anticipated Books of Fall 2019" list, as well as Book Riot's 2019 list of "50 of the Best Books to Read This Fall".

George Zimmerman needs to crawl back in his hole.

That’s not what needs to happen to him...

Literally got away with murder, and now he's suing everyone else who says he looked bad doing it.

I'm honestly shocked he's still alive.

Me too!

Prosecutor was horrible, like Marsha Clark bad, or he would have been convicted.

I believe you are doing a disservice to Marsha Clark. Even she thinks he was bad. That said, it was still a tough case given the lack of convict-worthy evidence, though most sane people know the truth of what happened. Then it became a media spectacle, then just all around yuck.

Sad situation. The nausea that sets in when seeing Zimmerman had finally subsided, now this.

I'm honestly shocked he's still alive.

Has he ever been attacked or jumped or anything like that? I figured he'd at least get a beating or two.

Just for the record: wasn’t it established that Martin attacked and was on top of Zimmerman hitting him resulting in lacerations and a broken nose? Isn’t that why he was found not guilty? A jury can only decide based on the known facts.

Zimmerman followed Martin, against the recommendation of the 911 dispatcher, did not announce himself, and proceeded to initiate an altercation in which he killed an unarmed Martin.

Gotcha. It’s been a while so I didn’t recall all the facts. It was an avoidable tragedy. If Z had any brains then, he would drop this suit and put it behind him as he got off lucky.

You would think, right? The trial did nothing but fuel his narcissism.

And his behavior afterwards exposed how guilty he is of murder.
