FD Defense = CCH Defense

 

So far anyway. FD is limited by QB, but they have great speed and athletes in skill positions.

Unless FD finds a passing game they won’t score. Receivers are open but inaccurate passes killing them.

I also think Douglass may be giving to much respect to the Cov. Cath. defense. I actually after watching the first half I think #5 Neal can run the ball on them.

Don't underestimate CCH's speed.

Jacob needs to get through his progressions quicker. Some more intermediate routes would help too. I look for Mayer to get more looks this half.

Douglass will get the ball to start the 2nd half. The Broncos need to score there I think.

 

I would like to see Douglass tie it up and make it interesting.

I know I’m in the minority on this thread. But I think these teams are very evenly matched. I think that first drive was More of we’ve been her before and you’ve not. Which I was afraid of and mentioned in the thread before the game. Since then it’s been about as evenly played as can be. These teams defense is very good that first drive may very be the difference.

I agree enough that I think that should be FD plan, keep running at CCH and hope to break a couple. The passing game is weak at best but the FD QB did show some flashes.

Compared to last week, when he was also under a lot of pressure, Jacob looks like a different player. Not bad, just not anywhere near the level he played at last week.
