cshs81
Solid showing for the young Colonels. Great experience for the new kids. Until the 3 senior starters come back, TJ and the youngsters are like Michael Jackson and the Jacksons. This will be a huge bonus for CCH this year. When will the football players catch up with the basketball program? Are they taking a few days off or have they started working out with the team yet. It has been my experience that it takes a couple of weeks to jell going from football to basketball.
cch5432
When will the football players catch up with the basketball program? Are they taking a few days off or have they started working out with the team yet. It has been my experience that it takes a couple of weeks to jell going from football to basketball. They are taking some time off but no one knows right now how long. CCH shot 80% from inside the arc (24-30) but went something like 4-17 from behind the 3-point line. With the three point shooters on this team, I thought that it would be there strength, but over the last two games it has been their downfall. ColonelCrazy
A little disappointing to give up 85 points. If you shoot 80% from inside the arc, you need to win. I'd imagine the football players will take around 4-5 days off. That's always been my understanding, at least.
Theoldguy
As I have posted before they could live without Kurt and Brandon on the floor (wouldn't want to but....they could), but they need the heart and soul of this team badly to compete, and that young man is Billy Schult.........When Billy, Kurt and Brandon come back (my guess is just prior to Christmas) CovCath will be fine, and in fact, in much better shape than if all three of the seniors were playing now.... ochenta siete
CCH will be fine this year, dont be suprise if they make another trip to Rupp. They played with a great Lafayette team with practically all juniors and sophmores. If coach listerman can keep the teams confidence up they will have a great season.
NKYBOY1487
Should be another interesting one at St. Henry on Tuesday. I'm sure Bovard and Brown won't see anytime, but how is Billy Schult doin? Any updates???
2Short
It's a little confusing...or at least, week to week. The good news is it's not season ending and at this point, no surgery/scope...they are saying 4 to 6 weeks (we're already one into it)...but, it depends upon the progress, which means it could be sooner, could be longer. As I understand it, it all has to heal on its own with ice/therapy. Very minor tears to the ACL and the Maniscus (sp?), and a small fracture in there to boot. Obviously we are all praying for the best. If anybody has a better explanation, please share.

As you mentioned they will be much better off once Brown and Bovard return, but with having a good group of guards already they REALLY need Billy back inside. They'll be fine by the new year !!!! They'll be fine by the new year !!!! Agreed. I would add that you can't place a enough value on good senior leadership. The jrs and sohps are talented, but you can see the lack of senior confidence out there imo. TJ has it all on him right now. I think we will see the younger kids really bloom when they return. Another observation: Billy's absence is felt more on the defensive end, imo, their matchups are a little off with him gone...
