I don't think this is Paintsville's best team under Chirico, but I think this is the best shot they've had at breaking through and getting to championship weekend since he's been there. KCD has a good football team this year, but they're probably the worst of the semifinal opponents that Paintsville's seen in recent years.

Accurate statement, in my opinion. KCD’s schedule just leaves so many unknowns it is hard to judge them. I feel KCD’s offense plays into Paintsville’s strength on defense.

In town for this one tonight. Never been to Country Day - this will be my father and mine’s 118th different school where we’ve watched a game. Hoping for a good one.

When I got here there were 45 minutes on the clock. Now there’s 16 and Paintsville just walked in off the bus. They are dressed. Not sure if they’ve already warmed up. Odd.

I've seen quite a few teams do this in the playoffs. They get another area school to allow them to warm up at their field, then travel a short distance to the game and get off the bus and kick off.

Paintsville just scored on a short run from Phelps. Waiting on extra point; I believe a Paintsville player is seriously hurt. He’s on sideline but appears an ambulance may he called for. Can’t tell who the player is or nature of the injury.

Looks like a lower body injury based on where trainers are (I’m across field so can’t really tell). One Paintsville player is needed beside him. Coaching staff has all other players huddled and talking with them.

Lots of folks standing around but no medical attention from anyone beyond trainers. If they’ve called an ambulance this isn’t exactly a ringing endorsement for their response time.

I thought it was a requirement for an ambulance to be onsite at all football games. At least they are in my area of the state.
