Reminds me of a Jack Sicma type for the royals....Jackson is a player.

I was at this game and at no point was it even a contest. Both Jackson and Euton(spell?) were unstoppable tonight. I had heard a lot of hype regarding these two players and was very interested to see if it was true. Well it was and then some in my opinion. These two young men are very, very special. Not only are they talented, they did a great job of leading their team. As I loved the big mans touch and aggressiveness, I don't know the last time I can recall a young guard like Jackson play so effortlessly. Everything he did was just smooth and fun to watch. Great player and great young team. I believe the 16th needs to be ready, this team can definitely contend for a region title!

When GIAT congratulates Rose Hill, it is a special event . Maybe he would like a Rose Hill sweatshirt to wear on special occasions. If so, it can easily be arranged although I'm afraid I can't get it from his employer.

Rose Hill looked awfully good. Even without their 6-9 kid, who didn't play. Euton is a player. #1, who reminds me of Mayo, is awfully good also. They also had 2 or 3 complimentary players , who filled their roles nicely. One other thing they did well, was shoot the 14-18 foot mid-range jumper and knocked it down. This seems to be a lost art today.

Rose Hill completely dominated the game leaving Southwestern shell shocked from the start. Euton and Jackson are living up to their hype as the top freshmen in the state/nation. Euton style of play reminds me of Adam Morrison (inside player that is deadly from the arch).

Uncle Joe is right on target about the building of the program. Many have worked very hard to grow and develop a program that will be competitive for a number of years and it appears that they are nearing the time when for the harvesting their their first crop. As an observer, it is enjoyable to watch and it is a lesson in the value of hard work and dedication to a cause.

Southwestern is a very good team of outstanding athletes who I honestly believe will be a serious contender for Rupp in the 12th Region before this season is over. They are at their best on the run in transition.

 

To RH’s credit, they were not able to outrun the Hill. A key to this was RH’s virtual domination of the boards. Jackson and Euton combined for 36 rebounds and 56 points between the two of them. It’s obviously difficult to run and transition when you don’t have the ball.

 

SW could not match up with Euton inside and Jackson when he penetrated. The big news for the Hill is the increasing maturity of the supporting cast. Tony Arthur, Michael Fuller, Johnny Bush and Alex Malloy contributed points, assists, steals and rebounds to one of the best team efforts this young team has put fourth.

 

Granted, it is only the first game of the season, and hopefully RH has another 30+ to go, but it’s really good to see a bunch of great kids growing up and starting to understand what they can do together.

 

It should be a fun season.

Can we consider this "OUR WARNING"

I think everyone at Rose Hill has good reason to be excited but the excitment must be tempered with the realization that this is still a very young team. When Euton and Jackson play like they did last night then they can play with anyone but on the nights they are off the Royals will have to grind out victories. With young players, even experienced ones, you have to expect some inconsistency.

 

But I agree with Fastbreak 100% this should be and will be a fun season.
