West Carter 37 Martin County 6

Congrats to the Comets. I believe this sews up the 1 seed for West Carter in that district.

Go Comets! Much better team than they are given credit.

Is this an upset or was it expected? The margin of victory surprises me a little bit.

Expected, although I'm with you on the margin. Shelby Valley at West Carter in a potential second round playoff game is a sneaky good game in Kentucky that weekend.

They've allowed 19 points in their last five games. Only Breathitt County is allowing fewer points per game in Class 2A. Stout!

Pleasure to watch such a well coached and aggressive TEAM defense!

Congratulations to the Comets! I think that win makes them district champs.

Gives them the #1 seed. Starting this season whichever district team is standing after the second round of the playoffs will be considered district champion.

The margin is even more impressive when you take into account that Leetavious Cline had virtually no impact on the game offensively. This is a solid team.

Both Carter County Schools having very good seasons. That’s good to see.
