September 15, 20197 yr Nobody has mentioned the end of the first half when we had the ball on our 35 yd line with 3 min to go and two timeouts. What do we do, run three times use no timeouts and punted with around 20 seconds left. Why not try and extend your lead with at least a field goal? Too conservative!!! Then you don’t have to worry about a Freshman kicker with the game in his hands. Play to win the game!!

Whenever you have a chance to score, you have to take advantage of it. We never good after that.
September 16, 20197 yr When you play not to lose, more often than not, you lose.... Also, I’d rather have a root canal once a week than see UK run plays out of the wildcat. You know who doesn’t run plays out of the wildcat? Clemson, OSU, Bama and other top teams. It’s a gimmick and just doesn’t work unless you have a guy like Benny Snell who is guaranteed 3+ yards a carry.
September 16, 20197 yr I don’t like the Wildcat with an empty backfield, especially on short yardage. Everybody knows where the ball is going. Didn’t work last year and it isn’t going to work now.
September 16, 20197 yr I think Smith is going to do a good job at quarterback, lucky to have him. In time Poore is going to be an excellent kicker. Go Cats. Hate to criticize, but it felt like we were playing not to lose.
September 18, 20197 yr I agree on the end of the first half clock. I have not heard an explanation, nor have I even heard anyone question this decision. Has any been given?
September 18, 20197 yr This is still a good UK team, but they have young players that have to learn their position and also how to win in the SEC. Benny, Josh Allen, and the entire secondary had been through the fire of the SEC and took their lumps and culminated their time with a big 2018 season. This team still has a great opportunity to win a lot of games, but there is still a learning curve and these young/new players will have to continue to work together because winning conference games is hard; it becomes even more difficult when mistakes are made. There's a great opportunity this week to get that bad taste of Gator out of their mouths and I look forward to seeing how they respond this Saturday.
