October 10, 20196 yr Author I have been a little indifferent about the Island of the Islands and the challenges that they are putting the players through, but I liked last nights. Sucks that just going there puts an immediate target on your back and they are sort of doing it at random. I'd prefer it be a player from the tribe that lost a challenge at least.

I feel like the whole women banding together against the men thing is obnoxious, and it's feels like it's happened wayyyyyyy too many times on Survivor, and that it's never been successful, in the end. They effectively end up voting their way to a tribe that performs more poorly in challenges, more often than not, and then it more often than not ends with someone in the "women's committee" going rogue and breaking the whole thing apart before they reach their end goal. I think it might be the most obnoxious trope in all of Survivor, as far as I'm concerned. Including this one, I've probably watched a 12 or 13 of the 39 seasons of Survivor, and I can't remember a time when the entire group of men in a tribe has banded together and agreeing to vote out the women. Can anyone else remember that taking place at any point?

It has worked successfully for the women a few times, specifically the season that Kim Spradlin won. I believe it worked for Parviti in the season she won too.

October 17, 20196 yr Author Sandra commented that Elaine never know what's going on. I think she knows a lot more than she let's on at tribal, tonight as an example. I like her.

I thought it was pretty hilarious how quickly everyone pegged her story as a lie. And I thought it was hilarious how quickly Rob & Sandra pegged her - Sandra had her for being wayyyy too quick to make a decision without ever taking time to think about it, and then Rob said, "Noura is the last person you’d want in the caller position. She cannot coherently communicate anything to anyone. She’s living in Noura world.” Having her sit out was a strong move - and the right move.
October 17, 20196 yr I have a gut feeling that leaving Noura around is the right move, but she annoys me enough that I'd honestly like her gone now. And I think Karishma is just whiny and she sure appears to do absolutely nothing around the camp or in challenges...so I don't know what the worth of keeping her around is. Aaron and Missy seem to both be going too "alpa dog" for their own good - and Aaron continues to think he's absolutely the man in charge, which kind of cracks me up. Jamal really loves himself some Jamal, but he seems like he has definitely improved his game in the last couple of episodes. I also think Jason has done a really good job of improving his game since definitely being on the outs in the first episode...he did a really solid job as the caller in the challenge this week, even with the near comeback that Lairo mounted. If he hadn't kept himself calm and just kept working at it the way he did, Vokai would have been screwed. Loved seeing two members straight being voted out with immunity idols in their pocket! With the tribe swap coming up, I definitely think it gives Karishma a new lease on life, although it could put an easy target on her back and make her an easy first vote supposing whichever Lairo members end up on her new tribe were to point out to the new members that, "Hey, just watch how she sits around and does absolutely nothing. She's dead weight and needs to go." I like it that it seemingly breaks up the Lairo women's alliance though, and I think it definitely puts Aaron and Missy at a bigger disadvantage if they play their alpha dog roles too hard with their new tribe members. I'm also expecting the truth to come out in the next episode within at least one tribe about what happens at the Island of the Idols with three of the people who went there still hanging around. That could make things get dicey!
