Fern Creek 34 Central 14

Both teams played Manual a week apart from one another. Central lost 0-7 to Manual in Week 0 with the Jackets putting up 260 yards total offense to the Crimsons' 127 yards. Fern Creek lost 18-22 to Manual in Week 1 with the Tigers putting up 257 yards total offense to the Crimsons' 222 yards.

Both teams had more offense than Manual did and still lost. There's no telling what's going to happen with those teams when you're comparing goofy scores like that...but like @Jack Lambert and @charlesw88 both said, the win margin in tonights game between Fern Creek and Central is somewhat surprising.

It actually could have been worse.

Central seems down from last 2 years. They graduated over 20 players, but who they really seem to be missing is WR/Punter Ukari Baker. Vs Fern Creek last 2 years Baker would extend so many drives big catches on 3rd and long. And was a solid punter. Kicker Reggie Whyte has a great name and is a good kicker/punter but is lineman sized and not athletic enough to make something happen when punt snap goes awry.

Central is still a good team, passing game didn’t look great vs Manual or Fern Creek.

And last night they had several special teams issues that was the difference in margin.
