Who finishes higher Kentucky or Cincinnati?

 

Kentucky obviously has the opportunity to finish higher, always.

In short because I am busy, a lot of players coming into college with real NFL potential don't want to be forced to stay three years. Therefore I believe it is more likely they will choose schools where they are almost assured of immediate playing time. The bottom line is the talent will spread out some.

 

On the other hand, if you have to stay in college three years and you have real NFL potential you are probably better off going to one of the few mega power NFL farm club college teams.

That idea hasn’t worked for college basketball though. The top talent is arguably more confined in college basketball than in football. I get your idea in theory, I just don’t believe it would cause a change in anyway. I do believe players should be allowed to go after 1 year though because it really affects only 1 or 2 guys a year.

I believe UC would beat UK straight up and they have an easier schedule so I’ll go UC.

I’m curious to see how Hurts plays.

We do agree it should only be a one year commitment, just because you can go doesn't mean you should or will go to the NFL after one year.

The sports are different but for every kid coming in the main objective is the same: make it to the NFL.

I’ll always call it like I see it, but the Big 10 clearly got a lot of love in this poll and it honestly surprised me how much love they got. Dare I say the Big 10 actually got some SEC like treatment from this poll with teams like Michigan State, Wisconsin, and Nebraska coming off subpar years. The Big 10 led the way with 7 ranked teams, and despite just saying the Big 10 might have received some preferential treatment, I actually believe they left out a Big 10 team that I would have had in this poll based on what they did last year and what they have coming back and that’s Northwestern.

At the top, or overall?

 

Overall, I had a friend post this today, not sure how accurate it is.

 

Every year, at least one (if not more) top 10 AP teams end up unranked. Last year it was Wisky, wonder who the team is this year, if it holds true.

They all had to go off and hire big time coaches to match Meyer, who is no longer there. Fun for us!
