July 16, 20197 yr Luckily the Cubs are playing sloppy too. LOL, yes, they outslopped (is that a word?) us tonight.
July 16, 20197 yr LOL, yes, they outslopped (is that a word?) us tonight. I guess that's as close as we can get to just saying, "The Reds played better and won" around here.
July 16, 20197 yr @redsfan_Brandon Luis Castillo’s 26 swings-and-misses tonight were the most by a #Reds pitcher since Aaron Harang had 27 on May 4th, 2006. Castillo threw 105 pitches. Harang 121.

July 16, 20197 yr I’m still trying to figure where all the “sloppy” play by the Reds happened... Reds pitchers struck out 14 Cubs batters. Reds scored 6 runs on 10 hits (one run wasn't earned). No errors. I'm sure there was baserunning goof in there somewhere. I guess because they weren't perfect? I don't know.
July 17, 20197 yr Fun fact, Dietrich has more homeruns (and hit by pitches) than singles. I'd think that power should make some here very happy. But am I the only one that feels like he should have been over 20 HRs a long time ago?
July 17, 20197 yr Author Solid battling at bat by Votto there, but I’d be interested in knowing how many times Votto and Suarez have gone back to back striking out looking this year. Miserable to have 2, 3, 4 coming up and suddenly have 2 outs without a ball in play. If the Reds are going to stay in it for the duration, and I think they can, those innings need to be add on innings. Not 1-2-3.

Reds still up 3-2 bottom 5.

Seems he’s done it more this year than he ever has. All that being said, he’s still a guy I want in the lineup everyday. Works pitch counts and gets on base.
