June 26, 20197 yr I think it is time we parted ways with Mr. Puig. This guy is a loose cannon who is out of control. Everything, including striking out on creditable pitches, is about him. Every night its the same thing with him. Me! Me! Me! Hit the road Jack, and don'tcha come back. I'm curious how long some of these guys would play for Mac Whitaker??? Several would be pulled in the middle of an inning. I'm sure it would be viewed as showing up the player, BUT it would certainly get the point across. This isn't a one time thing. It happens on a daily basis. Doesn't seem to be a lot of accountability in the clubhouse. For those of us that didn't make it past the 2nd inning last night, do you care to elaborate?

Threw ANOTHER fit after being called out on a pitch that was almost right down the middle, got ejected of course and came back out and acted like an idiot again. Stood and watched in the first inning as Senzel jumped to catch a ball in dead center then had to chase it all the way from dead center into the gap in RIGHT CENTER, Puig NEVER came into the picture and it ended up being a stand up inside the park homer. Jumper Dad is right, he’s done some good things to help us win some games but he’s pretty much a loose cannon!

I'm sure Reds management knew what they were getting with him and were just hoping for the best.

That and he was always going to be a one year rental...milk him for all we can and take the bad with the good. Just hope there are more +'s than -'s!
June 26, 20197 yr Author I have a way bigger problem with Peraza, and his obvious lack of knowing what is going on in the game than what Puig did or didn't do last night. Yes, Puig should have been backing up Senzel on the first play of the game, but I think he thought the ball was going to be a clear HR. Peraza let a runner tag up and score from 2B last night because he had no idea how many outs there were in the inning.
June 27, 20197 yr Puig goes deep to give Reds a 1-0 lead in the 5th inning. Sell high. Try to trade him before the game ends.
June 27, 20197 yr Sell high. Try to trade him before the game ends. I agree, you are not going to sign him so let him go.
June 27, 20197 yr I agree, you are not going to sign him so let him go. The Toronto Raptors rented a player for a year and won a World Championship.
June 27, 20197 yr What were yall saying about Puig earlier? Guess we are on the plus side today. He is going to hit Home Runs but he is going to have a lot of negatives also. Trade him at his highest peak. Give VanMeter a chance to play everyday.

Don't disagree about moving him but my statement about tonight's game remains the same. We need some HR hitters in the lineup with OBP guys ahead of them.
