I disagree with the last part. If the bong photo doesn't come out, he would have been drafted higher. He was the 3rd OT drafted. Here is an article that estimates Tunsil lost $10-12 million because of the bong photo.

I agree with that. My point is that bong photo isn’t the only reason he dropped. His past helped. If he had a clean past and that bong photo comes out I feel like he doesn’t drop in the draft.

I am not so sure. The history certainly helped him drop to 13. But I think he might have dropped with no history. Maybe not as far, but I think there is a likelihood he drops some even with no history prior to the bong photo.

Draft money is all about where you are drafted. If he had gone #, he would have got #1 money that year $27+million. The guy simply blew it, or perhaps he inhaled it. I totally agree that I don't feel sorry for these guys voluntarily putting themselves in position to do great damage to their brand. Money lost on his first contract is gone forever. Next contract will be what it is, but no one will pay extra above market value to help him recoup his losses. Perhaps he might get endorsements from the gas mask company, the weed manufacturer, or even the phone manufacturer that took such a high quality picture. Other than these entities doubt there are many endorsement deals out there which professional athletes seek. Perhaps someone will seek him out for public service ad for how to burn your money. Just a great example that every team would love to promote as their face.
