Great sendoff by all the Russell schools this morning. Awesome to see the little faces holding signs and chanting Russell as buses roll by.

sorry Russell. You had a great year but you can't compete with one of the best 4A schools in the state. My biggest question is why did the KHSAA not bump Mercer up in classes. Everyone knew this merger was going to happen before the last time things were re-districted.

 

Congrats to Mercer Co/ Harrodsburg on being smart enough to merge as well. It has helped your entire community unite, not to mention the fact that you now have funds available to build that awesome new athletic complex that was just built. There are some other towns that should follow your lead and merge as well.

May every player on both teams play their best game of the year. May God watch over these young men and keep them from getting injured. And, may the best team win. For me, hopefully that will be Mercer.
