I'm not going after anyone. I'm just quoting joedirt because he had quoted me. What difference would it matter if I were there or not? Obviously Mercer committed what the officials saw as 12 penalties. That is a lot of penalties, and obviously is something that would be a conern to any coaching staff.

Actually I believe you started it with your quote of what Wildcat said, and you chose to comment on something you weren't there to witness.

You're exactly right I did quote Wildcat, and I'm sure the officials are out to get Mercer just like the rest of the state is.  I'm sure Mercer didn't really commit any penalties, and they don't need to work on their discipline any whatsoever.

Cmon, have you ever seen a game where the officiating wasn't questionable at times?

Plenty of times, but like I said 12 penalties is a lot of penalties. Just for arguments sake, how many of those 12 penalties do you think that Mercer really didn't commit?

Nope, never siad that. Just find it odd that someone who wasn't present and has no dog in the fight would make such a strong statement chastising someone else.

I'm stating that any team that commits 12 penalites, needs to work on their discipline leading up to the championship game. Very seldom will you see a championship team commit 12 penalties in a game. I believe you're taking this way too personal.

Fine. It's a closed subject.

Way to go Titans.

You werent there, you dont need to comment. That's the bottom line. You dont know what they need to work on. Did Mercer commit some of those penalities, I guarantee it, probably half. Did O'Cath committ some that werent called, you BETTER believe it. All I know is this, O'Cath threw the ball all over the place, I dont know the exact # of attempts, but it seemed like 40 or so, and at that, they had NO HOLDING PENALITIES called, if they are that good at pass blocking to not commit any holding penalties, then they need to start giving clinics on pass blocking schemes, techniques..instead of Florida State, USC, etc.

At any case, it was a great game played by the Titans. O'Cath, you all should be very proud, over the past 9-10 years, you all have put together runs towards a state title, that 90% of the teams across the state could only imagine. It should be a barn burner next week. Im looking forward to it!!

Congratulations Titans on your win and good luck next week.:dancingpa

No one will come close to stopping Mercer... this season.

Devils and Mercer game will be back and fourth ..... Running wide on the Devils won't happen ... Running inside on the Devils won't happen. Penalties will kill you against the Devils. Mercer's season long - 5a monkey will be very heavy .... This will be a very close game ..... Devils showed much better than even I thought ... Coaching has these kids playing at a high level ..

Nice game against OC .... good luck to both teams

Buffalo, you are correct. Pass 40 plus times, and no holding calls:confused: and that first block in the back on the long TD run early in the 1st, was an official looking for something to call. If he had watched that block? he would have seen an OC player trying to draw a penalty, and he did just that. Sure Mercer did commit some penalties, Mercer is a very aggresive team.

LCRW, there are good and not so good officials out there. I was there, and watching from a very good spot, and there were some very questionable calls.
