East 10 West 7 (2019 NKY East/West All Star Game)

Featured Replies

Who has information regarding the date and time of this event?

Coaches and players information would also be cool.

I read somewhere that it is traditionally held the first Thursday of June but I do not have specific information.

Thanks.

This is a fun game. It is one last chance for many of the players to put on the pads. It doesn't get enough publicity.

Apparently, it doesn't get any publicity. The best I've been able to muster is that it is "probably June 6."

That's sad. I have found the same problem here in Ohio with the all star games.

Surprised not to see Grant or Reid Jolly on the roster from Campbell County. Especially Reid.

Also, why no players from New Cath?? I know the Breds have had players in this game in the past. It's also a shame that Walton-Verona is left out of the mix.

It's rare that good players are "snubbed". I can't say for certain but would imagine those player mentioned couldn't play or opted not to.

With each team getting to choose up to 5 players, it’s doubtful any top player would get left out. These players for this game are chosen by their head coach. I’d say if you see a big name missing, they’ve chosen not to play, rather than not being chosen to play.

Some decide not to play because they don't want to risk injury. That could mean the loss of a scholarship for their education. Extend that over four years and you are talking $40-100,000. I believe Jolly is playing a different sport in college and may be concentrating on developing for that sport.

Reid Jolly (Campbell Co) has been selected to play for the Kentucky All-Stars in the Ky-Indiana series.
