NKY has a good history of very good players.

There was a really good running back for Conner in the early 80s. I forget his name. They beat Highlands and I think went to the state finals on his back.

I caught a couple that were born outside N. Ky. but played high school ball in N. Ky. Look the list over as there may be names I missed.

John Shannon aka Psycho did attend Boone County, was a 1983 graduate and my roommate at Kentucky. Guy had a motor that would not quit.

Brian Williams- 1st team All-State tight end his senior year for CovCath and went on to play all four years at D1 Columbia University in NYC, starting two of them at tight end.

I just realized that Marty Moore, LB, Highlands is missing from that NFL players list. I guess he wasn't born in KY? Played for Highlands and UK. Obviously he should be included as a Kentuckian who played in the NFL.

That is correct. UK signed his teammate, the late Kenny Brown, and offered John a PWO and he made the most of it.

Well, I lived my entire life in NKY, but I was born at Good Samaritan Hospital over in Cincinnati, so my birth certificate says I was Ohio born.

Marty was born in AZ. Don’t know when they moved to Ft Thomas.

Have to throw Ryle K Mason Molique in the mix.

Played at QB, RB, and DB on Highlands' undefeated state championship team in 1968. Played football for 4 years at Purdue as well.

Yes, Larry Schreiber played at Dixie. He once scored 3 touchdowns in a playoff game against Dallas which was a co-NFL record for years until Ricky Waters scored 5. He did in recent years work for the NFL alumni west coast. Haven't talked to him in a few years(cousin).

Jeff Brady from NCC / UK played in NFL for 9 or 10 years. Maybe also born out of state.
