The game was very fast pace. Biggs only went 7 deep with McDavid ,Thomas,Bonner,Wilcox and Salyers starting and Bowling and Coleman coming off the bench.:walk:

I thought that Matt Rowe got some time last night?

He may have I dont remember seeing him in the V Game. If you see him ask him.:p

What was the final score?

It was somewhere in the 60's I think......

Final score was 73 to 72.

Too early in the season to draw any conclusions other than Pendleton, which is projected anywhere between the #5 and #8 team in the 10th Region this year, may be a little better than expected.

PC was up 13 a the half 42-29. Tomcats scored 43 in the second half tying it up with 8 seconds to go. PC hit a free throw with under a second to go to win 73-72. AS I have been saying they will be fine this year. Biggs left program in great shape,:thumb: and Simms is doing a great job with them. Ashland played hard, but like a team that has only been together for a couple of weeks. Fun game to watch. UP and down the whole time. :thumb:

I believe everyone of the starters scored in double digits and all the bench players scored also...

Wow, scoring in the 70's is a change of pace from the former style!

Ashland was very physical and ran a great deal. They will have to find a fifth starter and develop some bench if they wish to continue to play in this fashion.Thomas looked very good-Wilcox and Bonner played well although if Bonner continues to play in the same manner he will definitely be facing bench time during the season because of foul trouble.Mcdavid didn't score much and looked rusty-he will be fine in a few weeks.Pendleton was very impressive and actually let early in the third quarter 44-31 before Ashland went on a 22-4 run to take a 53-48 lead.Belcher was very impressive but PC is far from a one man team as they have several other good players. It was a very entertaining scrimmage.

I know this is off topic, but speaking of Belcher - how is his brother doing at Belmont?

This Pendleton team will be defined by how well Jeremy Mudd plays night in and night out. If the Jeremy Mudd who played at Ashland Saturday shows up all year this will be a surprise team and will be right there for another district championship and Fieldhouse trip. Kane Belcher is going to be a great performer every night and I think Abe Crozier will compliment him well at the four spot.

I think the team as a whole is going to suprise some people. They have all played very well... It is going to take the whole team playing like they did at Ashland to be runner at the end of the season. It wasn't just two or three, it took six to seven, and they played like winners.....

I'm not discounting any of the contributions of the players for Pendleton county in the Ashland game, the reason I'm saying Jeremy Mudd's performance is so vital for the Wildcats is because of the inexperience he brings to the point position. If people want to talk about big shoes being filled Jeremy Mudd and Chad Sims are in the same situation with Mudd taking over from Tyler Mains that started I would assume in excess of 110 high school basketball games. I agree totally that they played well as a team, 7 or 8 players, and I like the idea of the bench being utilized more this season.
