BGP QOTD: Small Changes That Annoy You

Featured Replies

What's a small change that you've experienced in your life that annoys you? Ideally something really small that another BGP member may not be affected by, but it really annoys you.

For me, I hate that the green skittle in the traditional red bag is green apple. I really wish they would have left that as lime. Not that I love the lime skittle, but if you eat a handful, the green apple flavor takes over to much. I now throw all green skittles away.

The addition of the chip on credit/debit cards has not been a welcome addition to my life. The chips on my cards for some reason become unusable quickly, meaning whenever I use my card (which is every time I buy something since I rarely use cash), I have to insert-remove three times before the system lets me swipe. I've replaced one card 3 times in the last 6 months, which means I have to change my autopays tied to that card as well. I know these chips are supposed to increase security, but they certainly are complicating the process of buying stuff for me, and further driving me to purchase stuff online.

Interesting. I have never had any issue with a chip. Do you keep your cards in a wallet?

The Door Store. It used to be mandated that these were placed properly around the door. Now, it is thrown in the yard which lately means it gets soaked by the rain.

Yes. And I don’t get anywhere near magnets. I’ve asked my banks if this is an issue, and they’ve said this is a fairly common problem.

Be gentle when you stick it in and pull it out.

And don't pack too many cards together in your wallet creating unwanted friction.

The 2nd drive through line at McDonalds is really annoying to me. How does it get my food faster (we are supposed to merge back into one line to get to the window)? More than once, I've been in lane 2 and the order taker has serviced multiple lane 1 cars before me (not realizing I was in lane 2). To me, that's as bad as driving 50 MPH in the fast lane.

Words of wisdom that can apply to other situations as well. You really are the Guru :lol2:

The increasing use of synthetic fibers in T-shirts. Don't like that thin stretchy clingy feel it gives. Give me 100% cotton any day all day.

Why did Twix split up their candy/cookie bar to "Let Twix" and "Right Twix"? I've tried both and I really cannot tell the difference..........it's soooo confusing!

Not to mention the arguments between drivers about who gets to merge back into single file first after giving their order. That's always somehwhat good entertainment at times.

I second that.

Give me the moisture wicking fabrics all day. Makes a world of difference in the summer time.

The worst part about the one that I sometimes use is the actual placement of the "order takers". There's not enough room for a vehicle to place their order and then move up a spot (prior) to merging, in order for the person behind them to be able to place their order. And it's the same for both lanes. They should've either moved the dang things up about 10 feet, so that when you leave you're actually pulling into the merge lane...OR...move the dang things back another 10 feet, so that there's a place to move a full vehicle into. What you end up with is periods of time where no one can place their order, because they can't pull up to the freakin' post.
